078: Hiding Under Desks, Prioritizing Pain & Other Hard Things with JESSICA RIBERA

078: Hiding Under Desks, Prioritizing Pain & Other Hard Things with JESSICA RIBERA

Today I have to thank Jessica Ribera for being so willing and open to jump into our conversation so blindly. She and I talk about the moments we share while dealing with our respective pains and losses. Jessica lost her ballet career. I lost my career as a cellist. Today we both find ourselves using the word writer as a self-descriptor. Jessica and I both retain our emotional sobriety today, however we do talk about the moments we denied our lack of emotional sobriety and instead tried to numb or deny the pain we were so vividly fighting to feel. We talk about writing. We talk about being honest. We talk about career-ending injuries. We talk about gaining, losing, and regaining our vision for the possibility. Please enjoy my brand new friend Jessica Ribera!

065: How to Stand in Unshakeable Truth with VICKI AMBINDER

Vicki Ambinder is with us today and even though I'm a little nervous about opening up this discussion to y'all with someone who knows so much about my inner artist workings, I'm excited. I'm excited because Vicki has some seriously amazing tools to share with us about how to connect with an audience, how to stay in the "zone of genius" during a performance, and how to practice things that are difficult. ALL of those things relate directly to being brave and therefore this podcast. Which is precisely why I asked her if she'd join us on today's episode.
